The United Nations turn 70

The United Nations turned 70 on the 24th of October, 2015. As international NGO, Fracarita International is actively involved in specific councils and conferences at UN-level, especially in the field of mental health care.

24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being. Turn the world UN Blue

To help celebrate the UN's 70th anniversary, more than 300 iconic monuments, buildings, statues, bridges, and other landmarks in more than 80 countries across the globe lit up blue - the official colour of the UN, on 24 October (UN Day), as part of an exciting new global campaign which helps unite global citizens and promote the message of peace, development and human rights.

Consultative status at ECOSOC
